This will not give you the desired effect. There is a barrier of insulation that will cut down most of what you want to happen. The way to make this work more effectively is to have large windows, make them as dark as possible to absorb the heat and as reflective as possible to keep heat out, lots of people use aluminum foil but a good heavy set of drapes with a white liner works just as well.
