Device that won't let you forget your baby

    The new system will help absent-minded parents remember not to leave their child in their car.
    It will include a pad that will slip into the child's safety seat and an alarm unit that will fit on a key ring. The system will activate when the child in placed in the safety seat, and will sound an alarm if the caregiver walks more than 15 feet from the occupied safety seat.
    It is supposed that the system will significantly reduce the actual, though slight, chance of a sleeping child being forgotten in an unattended car.
