    It seems to be possible to alter the levels of cortisol with a drug in order to repress bad memories.
    The drug is based on some of the known qualities of Metyrapone, which has a powerful effect on the stress hormone cortisol. Early studies have shown that altering the cortisol level in a person's body during the time of a stressful event could impair memories of that event.
