Musical pacifier for premature babies

A musical pacifier will be designed to help premature babies learn to suck properly.
The pacifier will use musical reinforcement therapy to stimulate non-nutritive sucking, which will be an important skill in newborns. Featuring a pressure transducer system wired to play gentle music when the baby is sucking on it correctly, the pacifier will take advantage of an infant's natural love of music and encourages the baby to continue the sucking motion.
Many premature babies lack the proper breathe-suck-swallow reflex, which increases the amount of time they must spend in the hospital. The musical pacifier is supposed to reduce a premature baby's hospital stay by about 5 days.
