By anyone's estimate, there are far too many products sold that have to be assembled by the purchaser, and these assemblies are never as easy as advertised. A product assembly service can be started for well less than $500 and marketed directly through a retailer who does not currently provide this service to their customers. Of course additional revenue can be created if you also deliver the products that you will be assembling. The business only requires a few basic power tools and perhaps a van if you intend to provide delivery options. Remember that this business can also work in reverse for people who are moving and have to disassemble products and reassemble these same items once relocated. This aspect of the business can be promoted in conjunction with moving and storage companies.
