Mouth guards wired with sensors could replace helmet sensors as the way to measure the impact forces of sports like football and hockey.
The mouth guard sensor will use six sensors imbedded within the guard to monitor the different forces on the head. The readings will be sent wirelessly to a sidelines computer that then will use an algorithm to estimate how the brain is affected.
