Heads up display glasses for pilots
Augmented reality glasses designed for commercial airline pilots may help them to focus through bad weather and stay alert to their surroundings.
The glasses will display a 3D overlay of the runway and airport in one lens, including updates, markers, and traffic in the area. The integrated head tracker will adjust as the pilot moves his head and changes his gaze, automatically overlaying the appropriate info. Additional voice controls and displayed aircraft info, such as altitude and speed, allow the pilot to keep his eyes on the runway and off the console.
