There is a layer on our skin which consists of epidermis cells, sudoriferous and sebaceous glands discharge. Sweat secretion is regulated by the nervous system. People with increased excitability often suffer from excessive sweating. Such people sweat heavily not only in the hot weather, but also after performing a little physical work or in the case of the slightest excitement.
The reason for increased sweating can also be disorders of the nervous system, endocrine glands and the general organism weakening.
How to deal with sweating? Firstly, you should see a doctor. He will help to eliminate sweating caused by any disease. In addition, you should perform a number of hygienic procedures each day. If you do not take any hygienic and therapeutic measures, sweating may cause complications such as intertrigo, pustular and fungous diseases and eczema. Therefore, all parts of the body which exude a lot of sweat should be washed in warm water with soap every day. Wipe these parts with a clean towel and treat them with any disinfectant (either some liquids or powders).
You can clean the armpits with 3- percent formalin solution. Do not use formalin more then 1-2 times a week, clean the armpits with a barely damp cotton wool, otherwise liquid will remain in the skin folds and cause irritation.
After wiping, powder the sweating parts with a baby powder or powder, which is recommended to be carefully mixed with a 10-percent boric acid (add teaspoon of boric acid to a big box of powder).
In case of excessive feet sweating, make daily cold baths with addition of potassium permanganate or oak bark decoction. Contrast baths are also of a great help.
Of course, if you suffer from excessive sweating you should not wear hydroscopic clothes and shoes with rubber or microporous soles; try not to wear clothes and underwear made from synthetic fabrics. Underwear, dresses and shirts of cotton, silk and wool are more appropriate.
