The "OS Card" would be a independant operating system that is installed or flashed onto a PCI-E card for computers. A entire operating system such as Windows would come on one of these cards. Instead of booting and running your OS from your local hard drive, it would run most of the OS from the PCI-E card. The card would be read only, protecting vital system files from malware such as trojans or viruses. A small number of system files that would require read and write functions...

Nowadays laptop computer screens, even the ones intended for use in the office, are coming in widescreen. I think it would be useful if these screens could be tilted vertically like for editing text documents. Widescreens come at a ratio of 16:9=1.77. A standard letter page is in a ratio of 11:8.5=1.29 so the length of a letter would fit nicely if put at the width of a page. Anyway, it's an idea.

How about mice with two optical sensors so that you clould rotate the mouse and it would rotate the cursor on the screen or the object you are dragging, might be fun for games too; probably would be better if you design the mouse to be round.

Here is a quickie: asecond battery for laptops so one can switch main batteries without shutting down. Not very big, just one or two cells just enough for 3 to 5 minutes of power, with a condenser that you'd have to charge before I guess to get the proper voltage, probably be better for larger laptops the 17 inch ones.

NASA Should sponsor payloads of small rovers and a transmitter to the moon, owned and operated for and by X Box. Considering the time delay the games would be turn based, but with a real life twist. It would get the space program back in the public's dreams. A time slot sold as 1 robot $1.00/min. Each day 1 robot earns $1440.00/day ($525,600/year).

Think of a zombie hand as a mouse: the index finger be left click, the middle finger be right click. Put the scroll bar right between the index and middle finger. Put a button where the right handed thumb would be. Two side buttons for the ring and pinky finger.

What the advertising and marketing business needs are laptops that have 2 screens. One for the user and one to run advertising on. The advertiser would pay the user for running advertising of its product while the machine is being operated in public places. GPS software could keep track of the machine only when the user wanted it to and only to verify that it is in a public place, like a Starbucks, library or airport. The posibilities are endless.

A pendrive which has no memory on it, but when you plug it in, it connects via some network with assigned to it network share and presents this share to the host as if it was on the pendrive itself. In this way you can add networking capability to devices which have usb host socket accepting only memory devices. One can also make similar ata/firewire/sata and other devices.

It would be great if it was possible to eject or close CD-ROM tray when computer power off.
