Remember this song... "you can't eat chips in the rain, no matter how hard you try..." - forgot the title, anyway. How about creating waterproof (or at least water-resistant) potato chips? It would also help solve one of the other unsolved challenges of mankind, namely how to safely eat chips in the bathtub. Currently it's high-risk business - the slightest slip of the hand, and those chips are toast (or mush more precisely). The coating (preferrably something edible, not teflon) could...

For those who can't drink any more but, miss the flavor or maybe if you like the flavors but, do not drink, you can drink anything from a liquor store legally if underage or at any age. I would rather not incourage kids to try drinking but, maybe if they tasted it, it might take away the thrill and they wouldn't start to begin with. Some people have health problems but like rum, gin, vodka, beers, or wines, flavor and can't drink the real thing. I would like to taste the flavors...

Imagine: lobster, crab, muscles, oysters, scallops, or other seafoods, deep fried and battered in bite sizes, just right for dipping in cocktail sauce or tarter sauce or your favorite sauce; even catsup. The process would be simple you just compress the oyster or, whatever seafood it is into a small size, batter it with spices, then you deep fry it. Nothing sounds better at mid-night than microwaving a couple dozen crab (Bites) or nuggets, then, in one or two minutes, have your favorite...

You could have a pull tab that removes the entire lid of a beverage can with one pull and have the sides perfectly round and safe for drinking from eliminating the use of a cup and helping reduce that dribble down your chin from the small hole in an average beverage can. It would in effect turn the can into a cup where you could add ice or any other ingredient or you could freeze the can for long term storage and dump it into a cup (very fast) or make a great tasting slushy type drink by...

Make Pop Tarts out of different kinds of your favorite cereal and toast them in your toaster. Some good examples would be; Captain Crunch Pop Tarts, Wheaties Pop Tarts, Trix Pop Tarts, Super Hero (Type) cereal Pop Tarts, etc. Just pour out a glass of milk to drink along with it and you've got an instant, nutritional, full breakfast with out the bowl and the box and the final mess to clean up. You can also have them on the go when you're late for work or class! Plus, the sugar is...

Hot packs exist already, but they keep food warm for a limited amount of time. A battery operated heater embedded in the bottom of the lunchbox will enable to warm the food whenever required.

Ever been to a running sushi bar? It's certainly a beautiful way to have dinner, but somehow I feel I can never fully relax: After all, I have to keep track of the food that's circulating, so I know which is fresh from the kitchen and which has already been on tour for half an hour (yuck!). Infrared binoculars could do the trick, but they are not very handy, and worst of all, they will draw too much attention. I would need a lighter and cheaper version that is adapted solely for this...

Most of us have tried the free food samples at our local supermarket. They are usually chips, dips, sausages, cheese, or similar "finger food." While not always delicious, it is usually much better than a tiny bag of pretzels or peanuts that we get on a short airline flight. Why not make the food samples available to airline passengers. It would be a step up from what we get and wouldn't cost the airlines. Passengers could also fill out an optional opinion form and perhaps get a coupon...

I have an idea about a cake mix that already has all of the things you need inside a container (eggs, oil, etc) but it is all pre-mixed and all you have to do is shake it, put it in a pan, and bake it. It would be in the cooler section of the local grocery store. It could also have a pan to go with it.
