I have on more idea which could help to combat obesity. Why not create a system to send electrical impulses to the stomach, causing the patient to feel satisfied faster. The system will consist of an electrical stimulator and a sensor that can detect food in the stomach. The advantages of such a treatment: * It is completely reversible and has less side effects; * The system will be able to record the patient's eating and exercise habits.

Why not create a simple one minute test to determine quickly whether or not an athlete has suffered a concussion? The test will evaluate the athlete's ability to read numbers which are displayed on a series of flashcards. The time it will take for the athlete to respond will be compared to a baseline test. Any coach or doctor will be able to diagnose a concussion confidently if the athlete's response is more than 5 seconds slower. The test will also check for eye movement,...

The idea is to use a male birth control method which will be both easily reversible and will last at least 10 years. The procedure will involve the injection of a non-toxic gel above the scrotum, which then will coat the sperms' passageway (the vas deferens) and incapacitate them as they swim through. Unlike a traditional vasectomy, the procedure will be simple and pain free, and will be reversible with another injection to flush out the gel.

A new method of wirelessly monitoring peoples' breathing while they sleep could provide a less expensive and more comfortable method of keeping watch over patients. The system uses a network of store-bought wireless transceivers set up along the patient's bed. The transceivers all send signals across the patient's body, which are broken with the rising and falling of the chest and abdomen. A computer algorithm detects when there has been too much time between breaths.

The idea is to create artificial red blood cells capable of transporting oxygen. The blood cells will be made using human stem cells. They will be natural and manufactured safely in large numbers. The artificial blood could eliminate the need to transport and store blood supplies, and could lower the chances of the transmission of blood borne diseases.

The new bandages will do more than cover a wound; they will also make it easier to potentially save a life by becoming a bone marrow donor. The packets of bandages will include a registry kit, sterile swabs, and a postage paid envelope. Before bandaging, users will swab some blood from their wound and mail it to the DKMS bone marrow donation center to register for bone marrow donation.

Spring comes, the sun becomes brighter ... and many women face such a problem as pigmented spots and freckles. Doctors do not always advise to get rid of these harmless and sometimes even sweet spots. After all, freckles often do not spoil the face and not everyone should be upset. Those, who still do not want to put up with the freckles appearance, need to remember that GETTING RID OF FRECKLES IS MORE DIFFICULT THAN PREVENTING THEIR APPERANCE. Freckles are a common problem...

It's a well-known fact that snoring is dangerous to life. Moreover, it is a real disaster for family members to live with a person who snores. My struggle with snoring was to the death. At first I tried the following exercise: it is necessary to pronounce the letter "E" with an effort 30 times a day. I began to follow the instruction but then I either forgot about it for a few days or had a sore throat. Then my wife found a popular remedy for snoring: "Take a fresh cabbage leaf...

Heart rate monitor watches are widely used. My idea is to improve such watches so as they are able to monitor the heart rate as well as calculate calories burnt. They can also have the capability to scan products' bar codes and provide the information about how many calories were consumed versus how many calories were burnt. I think such watches could help people who intend to lose weight.
