A new airbag system for skiers will protect the wearer from falls on hard snow at high speeds. The airbag system will feature an array of accelerometers and sensors will detect when the skier is falling and trigger the inflation mechanism. A CO2 canister inflated the bags within 100 milliseconds, protecting the skier's chest, neck and back. The system could also be made customizable, allowing the user to choose additional airbags, such as ones for the waist or hips.

The foldable helmet will be able to expand in order to accommodate different head sizes. The helmet will feature a lateral middle section bracketed by two side sections. The side sections can be pulled out and locked in place to create the best fit while still meeting the ski helmet safety standards. As an added bonus, the expandable design will provide good ventilation and allow the helmet to pack down more compactly for transport.

The tightness could be adjusted just before entering any water. The lenses have a UV protection agent to them. Draw-back - wear and tear. There are several streamlined car carriers to carry all sorts of gear. I think it would be feasible to create a plastic or fiberglas carrier that could double as a kayak. There could be a lockable, outside shell or hatch to secure the carrier. The hull would be one piece with an attachable bow and rudder, kept inside. After lifting if off the car and removing the contents, total assembly time would be about 10 minutes.

This idea is for a steel torsion spring powered 'ballista' (ancient roman war machine that resembles a crossbow) which fires ballbearings. It could be used for hunting and with such durable ammunition it would be more economical than bows and arrows or firearms. Also would be great fun to shoot at gongs!

I imagine a machine that is designed to allow the user to appear to be swimming in a pool, but it will have weights as well to increase resistance. I am turned off by public pools and the effort to breath just to get the physical movement. Eliminate the breathing strain and you may be able to swim longer with added resistance. No more waiting in lines or having red eye or chlorine in your hair, but all the physical benefits of swimming.
