If you're like me, and most are, the computer sits on the floor. It would be great if ports like firewire, and USB, and Media card slots we built into the side of the computer screen. That way there would be no stooping down. And you would not have to buy extra card readers/writers.

Think of a zombie hand as a mouse: the index finger be left click, the middle finger be right click. Put the scroll bar right between the index and middle finger. Put a button where the right handed thumb would be. Two side buttons for the ring and pinky finger.

There are kinetic wrist watches that need no battery. They just have an internal capacitor which is charged by the arm's movements. I have one such watch myself. My idea is to use the same principle for a wireless computer mouse. We move the mouse around all day long as we work. Those movements could charge the mouse's internal capacitor. This way the mouse would not need batteries! Clean, environmental-friendly energy for our moving pointer device! How about that?

There is a lot of software that give out an audible output of what is a computer monitor screen for the blind. There seems to be no reference to a tactile output pad that reproduces text in braille as well as graphics as raised dots. The output 'screen' can be a pad lying on the table with a matrix of equally spaced pins, which are at surface level and rise above the surface on activation The technology exists (rather outmoded) as dot matrix printers. Enhancements can be thought...

Currently, muffin fans, like you find in computer power supplies and mounted in computer cases as well as other electronic gear, are manufactured in a manner that makes them unserviceable. They eventually get fouled with dust and other airborne particulates which cause the fan to "gum up" and stop working. If they could be cleaned, their lifetime would be considerably longer. If you try to take one apart they simply break. If you try to clean them by soaking in even with the most exotic...

This combination computer stand and CD carousel would hold several hundred CD's, like a juke box of old. CD's would be catagorized for easy access and available at the touch of an on screen button or digital information screen on the carousel. Music, word processing, drawings, photos--all would be easy to store and easy to get to. No more plastic cases. This would not be too difficult or expensive to manufacture. Sony, HP, Dell, and many computer accessory manufactures could make...

When one wants just one label or neat printing on a small piece of card or paper currently one has to print on a large sheet and then cut-away the unwanted paper. Have you ever tried to print on a post-it sheet, impossible. So how about a small computer printer designed to allow one-off prints of small labels, cards etc., of a maximum size of say a post-it sheet. Not a feed-through type printer, but designed maybe so that you could place the card or slip of paper on the base of the...

Did you know that standard letters on a keyboard are not set up to make it easier to type but the opposite. They were arranged early in the 1900's to make it the hardest to use for a specific odd reason and that has never changed? If we arrange the letters around and place the letters used most (for instance) at the easiest point to type them then we would have a better and faster keyboard. I say we go a step further and rearrange the entire keyboard (not just letters) and add extra...

Let's face it, if your like me one of your most prised possesions is the contents of your computer. It would be nice to have all that data stored in a fire proof box. It could be called "The Black Box". If anything happened, or even if your computer was stolen; everything would be protected. 120 GB would be nice. Plus a softwear package that would (how should I say this) Officalize offical documents would be nice. That way you could re-print offical documents. Plus make sure it...

What the advertising and marketing business needs are laptops that have 2 screens. One for the user and one to run advertising on. The advertiser would pay the user for running advertising of its product while the machine is being operated in public places. GPS software could keep track of the machine only when the user wanted it to and only to verify that it is in a public place, like a Starbucks, library or airport. The posibilities are endless.
