To be environmental friendly and to read news conveniently during meals, perhaps newspaper subscribers could receive their daily news in USB disks and an adaptor table with a screen could show the news to you while you're eating.

I am thinking of making an earplug that passes on specific sounds and doesn't allow the other sounds to be heared. This device has a switch to adjust special frequencies of sounds, and if they are the same the sound passes and can be heard. This device can be very helpful when two or more sounds are mixed and you can not distinguish the one you want to hear.

I had this idea about some stylish headgear that can be worn as a cap and would resonate a certain frequency or magnetic wave that would repel rain around your body at a set range. You could walk in a storm and not get wet, that would be so cool...

Some people like to scratch vinyl records but you can't do it with compact disks. What i was thinking was to have a mini viynl disk on top of a walkman that would mimic the sound of scratches so when you are playing a compact disk in your walkman you can scratch with the vinyl disc on top.

I'm trying to find out if anyone has invented a portable negative noise generator for in the house. I'd love a small, portable machine that analyzes a noise source and then puts out a negative wave to counter it. We could put them on/in fridges and washing machines and other noisy items in the home to get those annoying sounds out of our lives.

How about an electronic device which is attached like a keyring with your keys. It will have a sensor. It will send signals and receive signals. If you have lost your keys you could dial (on your mobile phone) a personal signal number that would transmit to the keyring, causing an alarm to be set off! Or if you lose your phone you could press the keyring button which will activate the alarm on the phone. With a flashlite attached to the keyring as well this could be a handy object.

An art device for an upscale audience. You know those new flat tvs and computer monitors with the great resolution. Have several wall-mounted throughout the home or business. (plug hidden of course) Have them networked to a simple server that stores high pixel pictures of fine art: eg: Picasso, Monet, Renoir, etc...what suits your palette...and matches to drapes! The idea being that with a fairly low lit, flat, simply bordered (framed) monitor...these famous paintings are yours for free to...

A friend of mine is a photographer. A number of years ago now he took some photos in a bar during New Year's eve celebrations. On some of these he used a double-exposure technique, the results of which are a clearly focused "static" subject and "moving" surround, in particular lights, cigarette ends etc. I think this is an idea which could be developed and made available to those of us who aren't dedicated photographers but like to take a camera along to a party or club. The...

I used to play a violin in a school orchestra for several years, and I am an amateur piano player. By far the most frustrating thing I've encountered as a musician is, you have to turn pages in the middle of playing a song. This can be very inconvenient and interruptive of the music's flow, especially if you lose your place and have to re-adjust the music's position, page number, etc. My idea is, why not invent an LED display that has a foot pedal and that displays entire pieces of...

A wrist watch that automatically adjusts the time to what ever time zone you are in. Saves about 300 people having to fiddle with their watch every time we get off an international flight.
