the translater idea are for most people that travel the world. first of all: did you ever try putting an english dvd and playing with the subtitles, it will translate any foreign languge to english or vice versa . so my idea is that we can acually create a device that would not only translate but somehow, when you speak, into that devise no mater what langauge. all you have to do is set the device to what ever languge you wold want to translate.

We have all the new XM radio and a million other FM amd AM stations. But how often do you hear the song you like? There should be a way you could download a song directly to car radio to hear. Some type of radio pool of songs you can pay a yearly fee and listen to any song you like at any time, without having to burn a CD or download MP3's.

You've all seen the clocks that project the time onto the ceiling right? Well I'd like my CD player to project the track info onto the ceiling so I can lie on the couch or bed and select my favourite tracks without having to get up to fetch the CD holder and read the info. Would be especially useful with a multi CD player.

With many chain stores now having "rewards" membership cards, it is becoming a hassle to search through your wallet to find the right one, especially if you are at the checkout with a line of people behind you. My idea, that as far as I know does not exists, is a "smartphone" app that would contain all of your rewards/wholesale club membership cards. This app would already link your information with all the stores that you are a member of and frequent, eliminating the need for a plastic...

It would have a depress-and-slide mechanism so it couldn't be set off accidentally (and there would be a hefty fine if it were set off "accidentally" more than once). On activation, the phone would sound a loud siren, and 911 would be dialed automatically, with the phone going to...

A mini projector built into a cellphone can display whatever is supposed to be displayed on the cellphone screen. When you combine this and that keyboard that can be used to write stuff on the cellphone it gets really comfortable.

Most of us are embarrassed when our mobile phones ring during a class or a meeting. Or we can forget to switch to normal mode after the class or meeting and miss some important calls. Why not write a program that automatically switches your phone to silent mode and restores it, with just entering your weekly schedule.

Create a cell phone-based home security system. The system would include small, wireless video cameras hidden around a person's home, and a receiver (with a built-in telephone) that would continuously monitor the cameras. A person with a camera-type cell phone could call their receiver and monitor what the cameras were viewing. You could keep an eye on your property from anywhere, and call the police if you see someone breaking into your home. Of course, this idea requires the development...

Have you ever fallen asleep on the train and gone past your stop? It happens all the time in Japan. So why could we have an alarm function which rings when we get into a station? You set it at the start of your journey and it tells you when to get off, when to change, where to go etc. Never wake up in train sheds again!
