A new laser technique will be able to make speaker sound 'visible', making it easier to track and eliminate audio dead spots. The new laser light method will involve placing a laser to the side of the test speaker and scanning its beam through various points in front of the speaker. The beams will be reflected to a vibrometer receiver, which will then build images of the sound waves and locate the dead spots.

Microphones that look like everything from expensive professional golf club driver heads to Disney characters. Anything that might peak the interest of a mic user in karaoke in public or whereever a mic might be used. There are some rock bands like "Korn" and "Manson" that have unique mics but they are stage props and are made to be used solely on stage. They are also basically holders for a normal mic.

I don't know about other countries but when I tune into radio on my digital TV I just get a blank blue screen, wouldn't it be a good idea for the station provider to make their digital service more interactive by displaying information about the music playing, they could run competitions or advertisments anything really to take the blue screen away! I know radio is for listening to but if I sit in my living room and try to listen the screen seems to draw me back to looking at it!

Basically a CD player. Let's say you want to play the guitar part on a cd. You would stick it into the CD Blanketer and press the buttons for the drums, vocal, and keyboard until they are turned off. Then all you would have playing is the guitar part.

Can someone do me a favor and develop a discman with a stronger exterior or some sort of reinforcement casing for discmen to greatly reduce the damage done to discmen when dropped or crushed? I go through a discman about every one and a half months because they simply fall apart under pressure due to usage. I'm not talking about skip protection, I'm talking about the top physically detatching itself from the bottom and damaging connections. If such a thing exists, please notify me.

Speakers have always been round in shape. What if we explore Mono or Stereo sound speakers in different shapes live pyramids, triangles, squares, cubes, and see what sound enhancements we can come up with. I think that if it were a two or three dimensional shape rather than cicular we can develope a completely different sound set-up like enhanced surround sound or tweeters or woofers or midrange for any sound system.

I read about people complaining about neighbours that take music to a high level, or car that passes at night and disturbs the neighborhood with its boom boom woofers. There is a way to handle this problem and it's in using the new technologies provided. By linking every sound system in a city by a gprs connection, volume off sound sytems can be controlled and a law can prevent users of sound systems of increasing the volume so the volume can be locked to a certain max at night, and...

Basically this is just a fishing tackle box with a CD player built into its lid. For enjoyment on those days when the fish aren't biting!

This is a very simple concept but I'm amazed that I haven't seen it yet. Why can't we have smart cards for audio and visual home equipment? Why not a smart card activated hi-fi? It won't turn on without the card and won't turn off unless you remove the card... Or what about the removeable fascia that was used for a car stereo? why not have a fascia that operates both your home and car stereo? I prefer the smart card idea though. If you lose it all you have to do is bring your receipt to...
