Can someone do me a favor and develop a discman with a stronger exterior or some sort of reinforcement casing for discmen to greatly reduce the damage done to discmen when dropped or crushed? I go through a discman about every one and a half months because they simply fall apart under pressure due to usage. I'm not talking about skip protection, I'm talking about the top physically detatching itself from the bottom and damaging connections. If such a thing exists, please notify me.

Speakers have always been round in shape. What if we explore Mono or Stereo sound speakers in different shapes live pyramids, triangles, squares, cubes, and see what sound enhancements we can come up with. I think that if it were a two or three dimensional shape rather than cicular we can develope a completely different sound set-up like enhanced surround sound or tweeters or woofers or midrange for any sound system.

I read about people complaining about neighbours that take music to a high level, or car that passes at night and disturbs the neighborhood with its boom boom woofers. There is a way to handle this problem and it's in using the new technologies provided. By linking every sound system in a city by a gprs connection, volume off sound sytems can be controlled and a law can prevent users of sound systems of increasing the volume so the volume can be locked to a certain max at night, and...

Basically this is just a fishing tackle box with a CD player built into its lid. For enjoyment on those days when the fish aren't biting!

This is a very simple concept but I'm amazed that I haven't seen it yet. Why can't we have smart cards for audio and visual home equipment? Why not a smart card activated hi-fi? It won't turn on without the card and won't turn off unless you remove the card... Or what about the removeable fascia that was used for a car stereo? why not have a fascia that operates both your home and car stereo? I prefer the smart card idea though. If you lose it all you have to do is bring your receipt to...

I remember the good old times --- as if it was so long ago lol --- when car CD Player was way too expensive for me (high school student back then) to purchase. It was the biggest pain, considering the fact that most of my new music was on CD's. That's why, when I wanted to listen to some music from a CD while I was driving, I had only two options either copy the CD on a tape or use one of those cheap portable CD Players with a cassette player adapter. This situation is similar to what...

I can remember that someone invented a video recorder years ago that was supposed to omit the commercial breaks when recording a movie. I guess the system wasn't fail-safe, so it never made it to my home. Anyway, it should be much easier to cut off all the talking from a radio station. I've given up listening to our local radio stations a long time ago because of all the commercials and brainless blabla, but if all the talking could be replaced by silence (or maybe by music from...

Voice activated instruments that turn your voice into an exact replaction of your voice as any instrument. Just speak the drums and the synthesizer does it for you. You might be able to hook your computer to the instrument with a plug-and-play interface. Automatically turning your voice and computer into your instrument. Most people can speak and you could record and compose your own personal songs then add your voice over it.

Apple sells a product called the "Airport Express". It is a wireless networking node. You can plug your computer into it to join the network OR you can plug in a pair of speakers - this is called "Air tunes". iTunes allows you to stream music to multiple Airport Express nodes. My idea is to create a boom-box that has an Airport Express built into it. Right now you have to take your speakers or boom-box and your Airport Express to your listening spot. You plug the Airport Express...

I've been thinking about this for some time. The potential is quite good but never the less I would like feedback about it. Here goes: i myself play the guitar and I feel the urge every once and a while to just take it out and play but those times come when I'm on a subway train or at school. The idea I plan is for a glove like device with maybe some kind of sensor on the finger tips which allows you to simulate plucking strings on one hand and fingering chords or individual strings on the...
