A new robotic wheelchair will go where no wheelchair has gone before--climbing over curbs and tackling stairs. The wheelchair will feature four independently powered wheels mounted on five axes. Sensors next to the wheels will scan obstacles to determine if they can be rolled over, signaling the wheels to change to legs if necessary. An on-board computer will help keep the chair steady and the legs properly aligned, allowing the legs to step on or over the obstacle. The legs will...

A system that allows you to "switch" your vehicle to a "teenager mode". This would consist of a speed limiter for the engine so you can control vehicle speed, sensors on the seats to see if there are more passengers than allowed, and a GPS system that you can pre-program to set off an alarm (in the car and at home) if the vehicle enters and restricted area (ie. certain parts of town etc.) With teenage driving deaths at an alltime high, I feel this would be embraced by the insurance...

I would love to see a crew cab truck that has seats that are designed to fold out into a bed. I sometimes have to sleep in my truck and if there was a work truck designed so I could stretch my legs while sleeping inside it would make my neck much happier.

I had this idea one day when I was riding home with my boyfriend. When I get sick and drive or ride on the way home I always need a heating pad to make me feel better. So this idea just popped in my head. It's a heating pad the plugs into your cigarette lighter or AV adapter in your vehicle. This would be a good idea for long road trips or just on the way home trips to at least relief the pain of your aches until you get home. I also thought about adding a massaging option with it for...

The engine could gain horse power by taking away the valve springs. In place the cam would be over the valves, the valve stem would hook to the cam lobe on the sides, contact on the face would be a roller. The engine could be reved very high and not float a valve.

The "NO-SPEEDY CD" device replaces your regular in-car CD player. But the "NO-SPEEDY CD" player is driven by a series of belts, chains and sprockets from the front wheels of your vehicle. Now go and buy your favourite CDs in various speed formats, and pop in the appropriate format dependant on the speed restrictions youre driving within. Hey presto, youre in a built up area and you've got your 30mph version of Steps playing. If you start to go too fast, they sound dreadful and you...

Build rapid electromagnetic monorail system for passengers and light commercial shipping, using the median space between the lanes. Of course, overpass supports would have to be re-configured and the system would have to be protected by some type of barrier or fence. This project would create thousands of jobs and, when completed, would offer an efficient, clean means of mass transport.

Where are the police when you see a traffic violation? Nowhere, that's where. I propose the provincial/state governments create a course for the above average driver (someone with the maximum amount of merits on their license) to take to learn the basics of vehicle trafficing and violations. Once the civilian has passed the course, s/he could be licenced in thier city and province/state and allowed to pull over and ticket other civilian offenders. This system could be based...

With last year's attacks on the people of freedom and common sense, hopefully security will be more closely watched, but if dan or mary decide to have a bad day at work, we don't have to worry about a simple slip up because everybody that gets on the plane has no access to the cockpit during take-off and landing and if someone decided to cause a problem then the entire passenger section will be put to sleep. - End of problem!!! I think it's a safe way.
