A self cleaning cloth will be able to destroy bacteria and toxins when exposed to light, which could be used to make safer clothing for farmers and medical workers. The cloth could be developed by incorporating the unusual compound 2-anthraquinone carboxylic acid (2-AQC) into the fabric. The compound will bond to the cotton without changing its properties, and produce hydroxyl radicals and hydrogen peroxide when exposed to light, which instantly will kill bacteria and break down...

I'd like to have a wrist watch that could be set to alarm every 30 minutes, or every 2 hours, or whatever intervals were needed. It should vibrate but not sound in order not to disturb anybody and keep the reason of alarm private. The watch could be used as a reminder to take a medicine or do some exercises.

My idea is to have a snowboard / mountain skateboard with big wheels (there will be a button for changing modes). I will use snowboard to go down a snowy hill; in case there are rocks, dirt or a road I will be able to change the mode just pressing the button and the wheels will pop out.

Why not develop a new high tech cast that will use electromyographic (EMG) sensors to monitor recovery by tracking muscle activity around the fracture in real time. The cast will be able to monitor the activity around the fracture and sync the data to a website, allowing the doctor to analyze the patient's progress, suggest exercises, and predict recovery time.

Another idea is to create a skateboard with conical wheels, allowing skateboards to be more capable of carving into turns. The decks of such boards will be available in three styles, modeled after snowboards and long and short surfboards. The carving wheels will have the same diameter at their center as regular wheels, but they will narrow on the ends to enable to board to lean deeply into turns.

Why not create a dual-cable lever for bicycles to allow riders with one hand to control the front and rear brakes on mountain and cyclocross bikes. The lever will be adjusted to engage both brakes at the same time or one a bit after the other. There will also be the option either to place the lever on the left or right side of the handlebar.

The idea is to use waste bins as mobile power sources, able to power household appliances or party starting speakers and amplifier. The bins will consist of a solar panel, car battery, and inverter. They will be lightweight and mobile, and can be adapted to a variety of uses, and could eventually be used to provide cellular charging stations or sell goods in rural areas.

It would be great to have a TV set that would allow two people in same room to watch different TV programs. My idea is to create a two-sided TV screen for this. It would have separate remotes and possibly speakers inside remote or simple headphone speakers. With such a TV set couples won't need to have extra TV in another room.

The idea is to create a pair of eyeglasses that can display the subtitles for a movie, which could make movie-going much easier for the hard of hearing. The glasses are supposed to project the words in a way that mimics the effect of them being projected onto the screen. This will help to reduce eye fatigue. Besides allowing the hard of hearing to enjoy movies, the glasses could also be used to project the subtitles for foreign films, and can be adjusted so the words do not block...
