There should be some software that allows users to act together in a church virtually. There could be a graphical environment of the church and members could get together to listen to a sermon, either chatted or spoken. Each member could have a little avatar within the church. It would be a good way for people to interact religiously despite isolation.

There's thousands of websites to ask and receive advice on just about anything. What if there were to be a randomized one? Let me explain... You'd get an account and logon. You can either choose to give advice or receive advice. If you decide to receive advice, you select that option. It brings up a bunch of categories, kind of like a search engine (i.e friends, buying products, relationships, traveling, etc.). If it doesn't fit under any of them, you select "other". Now, what...

My idea is to combine a virus scanner with a 1st person shooter (eg: quake). The program could be run in different modes: 1/ Scan your machine for viruses = serious virus scanner with std anti-virus type gui. 2/ Play the built in game independently of virus scanner = self explanitory. 3/ Scan your machine with game front end = Game starts - virus scanner scans your machine in the background while you play the game. The game would be just like any other 1st person shooter -...

My wife is into scrapbooking (creating pages with personal photos with a theme). I thought it would be cool to have a site where you could create scrapbook pages on the internet to share with family and friends. To make this effective and enjoyable for people who scrapbook the site should have the ability to do a few things: - to save unfinished work. - to customize the borders, background, and graphics (possibly drag and drop). - to upload personal images. - to print. ...

If you get lots of business mail, you will notice that people make up all kinds of 3 letter abbreviations ("describing" their position) just to impress you. Long forgotten are the times when you just got mail from BMW's CEO or directly from the FBI. Today's decision makers are CPCs, DEOs, SPMs, or better! (Wow...) So I would love to have a SEA (Stupid Email Abbreviations) Randomizer. If you think about it, with three letters at your disposal, there are up to 26^3 leading positions in...

Why can't the FM stations offer free internet and make money out of ads thru them? And we should be able to convert the FM signals into data. (Anyway this may be a single way connection...for uploading we have to use our phone connections.)

So after Stig returned from Iceland, he thought it would be kind of cool to put up one of those big maps with pins in all the places he had been (he traveled via Panama City and Osaka). Unfortunately, Stig doesn't have any free wall space. After we argued for a bit about whether he should take down his ancient Def Leppard poster, we agreed that being able to do this on a computer would save a lot of space. There are plenty of map programs, but are there any that allow you to insert...

I am a stockmarket daytrader and it really bothers me how no one has started a great virtual daytrading game. I am sure there are millions who would be interested to learn without the risk.

There have been a lot of discussions in the last couple of years about "ego shooters" and their bad influence on kids, especially in the context of real-life shootings in various schools. Why not develop a similar line of games that is just as exciting but less violent? For example, when we were kids we used to try to get into various pop concerts for free - it was very exciting and involved skills like swimming, hiding, jumping, runnig... and of course the ability to analyse a certain...

Ever tried to get a doctor and found you could not get one when needed? Wouldn't it be great if your doctor had its own website. you could email your problem from the comfort of your own home; have weblinkup/webconf; check availabilty and choose your own time; and if your doctor cant help have link ups to other doctors all over the world.
